“This Valley is a natural beauty and they are continuing to bring about the horticulture awareness and preservation as well as having a nice little hike and introducing the Hawaiian culture and history. All who attend and walk the walk to to the falls. The pool at the bottom of the falls is a bit chilly, but once you're in and you get used to it, it's pretty fun. You have to watch out for the rocks that are on the bottom of entries though. They might cut your feet.”
— Marshall Clayton“The whole valley was gorgeous with lots of vegetation, flowers and trees. The waterfall was stunning. I'm lucky they had a mobility scooter for me to rent and it only costs $19.99 for 2 hours which was plenty of time for me to be able to go all the way up to the falls and back while stopping to take pictures along the way and enjoy all of God's beautiful creations! So if you or someone in your group is older or has mobility issues or is just in way too much pain (like I was); then this hike is still doable for you/your whole group without having to leave anyone behind or risk them having issues being able to make the whole entire hike. This is definitely a must see spot when vacationing to Oahu!”
— Kamilah Wells“What a beautiful place! We came here for the waterfall exclusively, but we ended up exploring the gardens also and made a day of it. The waterfall was rough when we arrived and got rougher as time went on. Eventually, they said it was about to flood and ordered us all out of the water and sure enough, the water flow skyrocketed and we got to witness it in person. The water was very chilly and being able to sit at the base of the waterfall was an incredible experience. We had no issues with parking or admission, but we were told it does get crowded. We did purchase out tickets in advance online. Highly recommend as this was something different to do.”
— Kristin Parker“Waimea Valley is absolutely stunning and such a peaceful escape. Be sure to wear water shoes because the rocks near the water are sharp and slippery. Along the way, we were lucky to see a gorgeous peacock and many other beautiful birds. The easy, paved trail makes for a calm and enjoyable 30 minute walk through lush forest filled with incredible trees, plants, and flowers. Even though the water was freezing, swimming under the waterfall was a truly unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend this place!”
